Ted Vora discussing Computers for Kids with a Teacher

WDI volunteers, David and Bleumjit Rubin, in collaboration with the OLPC organization (One Laptop Per Child), and funded by Ted and Naiyana Vora, initiated a computer project for elementary school students of Koh Yao District, Thailand.

500 computers (OLPC XO) have been purchased and delivered to schools in which WDI already conducts a variety of programs. Teachers were trained and the project was initiated in April, 2012.

The rugged laptops provide each child a self-empowered learning experience, connected to each other, to the world and a brighter future.
